    We investigate the processes underlying employee well-being and performance. Our research focuses on POP concepts and phenomena, including challenging job demands and job resources, work engagement, recovery, and the work-family interface. In addition, we develop new tools for personnel selection (e.g., webcam tests; serious games), and examine the impact of personality on job performance.  

    Our research and teaching has important implications for practice. For example, the Job Demands – Resources monitor is used in organizations to assess the causes and consequences of work engagement. In addition, we have developed the Happiness Indicator to help individuals find the activities that help them recover from work. Our personality and social judgment tests are used to select the best candidates for available jobs. Interested organizations can contact us to discuss collaboration opportunities.

      The master specialization Organizational Psychology focuses on the core elements of modern organizational psychology, including positive organizational behavior (e.g., flow and engagement), the latest trends in team dynamics (team diversity and leadership), and the selection and socialization of personnel (including webcam tests and games as selection tools). Students use problem-based learning techniques in small groups to learn about attitudes and emotions in organizations, employee team dynamics, and selection and socialization processes.
